The Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard on Wednesday told 710 ESPN he was wrong in the wake of the league fining him $100,000 for heckling referee Bennie Adams with an anti-gay slur (“f****t”), after Adams gave the 13-time All-Star a technical foul in his game against San Antonio Spurs a night before.
“It was just frustration, it was the pure frustration,” Bryant told the radio station. “You’re in an emotional game and in the heat of the moment you have outbursts. You say things. It doesn’t mean you mean what you say.”

Electronic Arts announced Wednesday that its new Tiger Woods video game set a franchise record for first-week sales, USA Today reported.
The golf simulation game, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters, sold about 225,000 copies in its first week of release, topping the previous franchise record holder, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08.
The biggest addition to this year’s edition is that the game includes the historic Augusta National course, where the Masters is played. The new edition was released March 29.
The record-setting debut is a strong rebound from the 2010 version of the Tiger Woods video game. Amid news of his marital infidelity, sales of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 dropped 68 percent compared to the previous year.

A Nevada legislative panel amended and approved a bill Tuesday that would pave the way for the Silver State to set the standard for Internet gambling.
The amended version of AB258 directs the Nevada Gaming Commission to begin drafting rules to regulate online poker, but stipulates that Internet gambling would not be implemented until sanctioned by Congress or the Justice Department.
“This says Nevada can get ready to go,” Pete Ernaut, representing the Nevada Resort Association, told the Assembly Judiciary Committee. “It can do its rule-making, it’s directing the commission to go now.”
“We believe online poker is inevitable,” Ernaut said. “We wanted a bill that made sense … for the existing gaming industry and the online poker industry.”
